Configurable Delegated Administration with Granular Rights Management

Automated / Simplified Provisioning & Configuration

Ensim provides a simplified user interface for ordering items in plain language and enables CSPs to customize their service offerings with hardware and service items along with VoIP subscriptions.  Provisioning is passed from the ordering system, through approval workflow, on provisioning at an element level.  Orders can be upgraded by the customer directly as needs increase.  Organization administrators can perform the entire user provisioning operation from the Ensim portal without requiring access to the native BroadSoft portal, thereby allowing the service provider to control at a  granular level what actions the admins can and cannot perform.

Complete Customization of BroadWorks Service Packs and Features

Most BroadSoft deployments restrict the functionality offered to a user based on service levels as service providers do not want to expose too many capabilities that might end up confusing the customer administrator. There are three service levels offered; The Business Line that provides basic calling functionality like Basic Inbound/Outbound Calls, Call Waiting, Caller ID etc. The Standard Line includes everything in the Business Line plus Call Forwarding, Call Transfer, Call Parking and more,while the Premium Line includes everything in the Standard Line plus Mobility functions, Outlook Integration, Conference Calls, Hold Music and more.  If a customer wanted a specific feature from the Premium Line, they would not be allowed to get it in a typical BroadSoft deployment without upgrading.  Ensim offers administrators granularity and flexibility in customizing the assignment any of the 145 features to users and groups without the service level restrictions, resulting in higher customer satisfaction.

Number Inventory & Management

The Ensim IP PBX Manager for BroadWorks provides automation and management of assigning one or more unique VoIP numbers to a user. Enterprises can configure a range of numbers assigned to them by the Telco or Service Provider, and then automatically assign a unique number to the user. When a user is de-provisioned the number can be returned back to the pool and made available for re-assignment. If a user desires a specific number, the Admin can easily select this from a drop down list of available numbers. If the alternate number service is available, the user can have up to 10 alternate numbers in addition to the user’s main phone number. The user can assign one of four distinctive ring patterns for each alternate number and in addition each distinctive ring patter can have a distinctive call waiting tone.

Device Activation and Profile Assignment

Ensim provides complete device activation and profile assignment for integrating,deploying and managing access devices. Supported devices include analog terminal adapters, IP phones, IADs (integrated access devices) and VoIP PBX equipment. All end user service and provisioning is performed through the Ensim portal thereby simplifying integration with the BroadSoft BroadWorks platform and other back office provisioning systems.

Trunk Group Management

BroadWorks Trunk Group Identity (TGI) is an option in the Trunk Group Profile that allows a unique identity to be provisioned and allow unscreened calls from the customer premise. Unscreened calls are common with a TDM PRI customer who wants to send from a DN that does not reside in their Trunk Group. With SIP trunks delivering PRI at the customer premise, this type of call will fail without proper configuration. The Ensim portal provides complete delegated administration management of the Trunk Group Profile without requiring access to the native BroadWorks management portal.

Group Management

Ensim provides CSPs and Telcos with complete and granular group level management capability of all BroadWorks group features. UC admins can create customized groups of features for bundling their offers in addition to including or excluding specific features for certain customers.

Multi-Instance Provisioning

The Ensim ordering portal allows a single customer to have multiple instances of BroadWorks, each with a unique set of services packs and features. In contrast administering a customer from the BroadWorks portal limits them to a single customer per Enterprise.This may not be appropriate for large and geographically dispersed customers.  The Ensim solution offers greater flexibility to the Service Provider by regulating and controlling specific access rights by organization admins for managing the BroadWorks operational settings.

SIP Domain Management

Proper configuration and management of the SIP domains is essential for devices such as soft phones to work correctly.  Ensim provides complete management of the SIP domain so customers can manage a private or shared SIP domain via the Ensim portal.  This is a great feature for Cloud VoIP PBX providers.

Usage Collection and Billing

Call Detail Records (CDR)

BroadWorks Call Detail Server is an optional server in the BroadSoft BroadWorks system that breaks out the management of call logs from the Application Server. With the Call Detail Server providers can collect a broader array of call data and distribute those records to customers in real-time. The Ensim IP PBX Manager for BroadWorks centralizes the Call Detail Records(CDR) allowing users to view their call details beyond the standard 20 limit call history. Users can view prior call activity, retrieve lost contact details, call duration and more. Unified Communications Providers can enable provisioning access to Enterprise admins allowing them to define their own call log settings, such as the maximum number of call logs per user per type.

Single Sign-On Capability

The Ensim IP PBX Manager for BroadWorks provides single sign-on for the CSP admin, Enterprise admin or User, to view and manage their services, user management actions, service packs, and all features that are assigned to them as well as those that are available for assignment. Administrators and Users can log directly into the BroadWorks portal from the Ensim portal for additional information or feature management without requiring a secondary login or session.

Web Service APIs

The Ensim Automation Suite includes a complete library of Web Service APIs for third party integration to CRM, SFA, ERP, or third party OSS / BSS deployments.
