Síminn Selects Ensim’s Automation Solution to Manage Multiple Services from a Single Platform
Supports Microsoft Exchange, Lync, SharePoint and More
SANTA CLARA, CA – July 15, 2014 – Ensim Corporation, a leading provider of automation and orchestration solutions for business applications, services and infrastructure, today announced that Icelandic telecommunications provider Siminn has selected Ensim’s end-to-end platform to manage Microsoft Exchange 2013, SharePoint and Lync for its customers. To date about 5,000 mailboxes have been migrated to the Ensim platform, with plans to add support for additional services.
The Ensim Automation Suite enables telcos and service providers like Siminn to deploy a turn-key provisioning solution with complete workflow orchestration and automation. The Ensim platform can be utilized for fine grain provisioning and element level management for any application, service, or infrastructure system connected through standard web service APIs, whether multi-tenant or single tenant, on-premise or in the cloud.
“We wanted something that offered flexibility and great self-service functionality,” said Gudmundur Stefan Bjornsson, executive vice president of Siminn IT department. “We found Ensim’s platform to be highly intuitive for our end-users. It greatly appealed to us that it’s easy to scale and upgrade multiple services and we’ve been very pleased with our experience so far.”
Ensim engineers spent a week at Siminn going through an extensive architectural design session to best understand and accommodate the telco’s needs.
“Ensim understands that every deployment has unique challenges and objectives and we’re committed to working with our customers to make sure that we always offer them the ideal solutions tailored for their specific requirements,” said Bjornsson, Siminn. “Siminn is really benefitting from the customizability options for the Ensim platform, which can support even complex technical demands.”
The Ensim platform provides delegated multi-level administration portals that allow simplified and automated self-service at all levels for Siminn and its end-users. Ensim is a Microsoft strategic partner and has developed an extensive library of service and application connectors – which include Exchange Manager, SharePoint Manager, Lync Manager, and more. Ensim also has the advanced capabilities to support and automate Hosted Microsoft Lync Enterprise VoIP features beyond what standard Lync control panels can accommodate.
“We look forward to continuing to build our relationship with Siminn and, based on the success of this initial engagement, hope to support additional services for them in the near future.”
